It’s that time of year again, shipping in for the Keeneland September sale, radiographs, vetting, and critiquing…every detail matters. Thankfully Stonehaven has a little help in this area, my 1 and half year old, who absolutely loves being at the barn…and we are oh so lucky to have this family farm that welcomes him and the rest of the Reddoch multiples with open arms.
On this day in particular, we’ve got all eyes on the stock selling in a couple of days.
Fortunately, this year we have a few stand outs…particularly a Malibu Moon colt (Hip #379) out of a multiple graded stakes winning mare, Wasted Tears and our first foal share to come up to the September sale with Mr. Bart Evans. The 2nd dam, Wishes and Roses, who was also boarded at Stonehaven Steadings produced two other stakes winning foals, besides Wasted Tears. We, as a whole, couldn’t be more excited. He’s a lovely horse, well put together and mature. Next up is a Gioponti colt out of our multiple graded stakes placed mare, Long Approach by Broad Brush. A “very athletic, well balanced” colt, he’s first up to sell for us as Hip #45 in Session 1.
Also in session 1, Hip #50, a Mineshaft filly out of Love and Marry, she herself has already produced two stakes placed horses (one being multiple grade 1 placed, Riveting Reason.) She’s a pretty filly with a good pedigree.
We look forward to seeing everyone out at the sale, this is our best offering yet, who knows what these three can do! It's never been a better time to invest in a Stonehaven bred!
